Installation
Check the file is ours, then install it.
Requirements
- Windows 10, 64-bit Intel or AMD.
- Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04, or Linux Mint 21 or 22, 64-bit Intel or AMD.
Get the installer
Linux
Put the package and its .sha256 file in one folder, open a terminal there and run:
sha256sum --check pigeon-desktop_*_amd64.deb.sha256
It prints the file name and OK. Then open the .deb (Software Manager on Mint, App Center on Ubuntu), or run:
sudo apt install ./pigeon-desktop_*_amd64.deb
Windows
Open PowerShell in the folder with the installer and run:
Get-FileHash .\Pigeon*.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Every character must match the checksum you were given (capitals don't matter). Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”, because the installer isn't code-signed. If the checksum matched, select More info, check the file name, then Run anyway.
If the checksum doesn't match
Don't install it. Download it again; if it still doesn't match, tell us.
Updates
New versions arrive the same way as the first. What changed is in the release notes.
