About Pigeon
We think a private conversation should stay private, with no phone number attached and nobody in the middle reading it.
What we make
Pigeon is a messenger for desktop, in invite-only alpha on Windows 10, Ubuntu and Linux Mint. Every chat is end-to-end encrypted with MLS, and the network that carries messages only ever holds sealed envelopes.
What we hold to
- Collect as little as possible. No phone number, no address book, no analytics. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from anyone else.
- Your account is yours. It is a seed phrase you hold. We can't reset it, and we will never ask for it.
- Reliable before fast. A message we accept is never dropped, even when servers fail.
- Say what's true. The docs describe what Pigeon does today, and what it can't protect.
- Answer in public. Legal requests, and what we could hand over, are published on droppings.io.
