Handles

An optional name people can find you by.

• One per account, 3 to 24 characters, starting with a letter.
• Look-alikes count as one name, so paypa1 can't pose as paypal.
• Lookup is exact-match only. There is no list to browse and no address-book upload.
• Your contacts are tied to keys, not names: if a handle later changes hands, your chats don't follow it.

No handle? People can still reach you through an invite you send them.
